15-22 August 2010: saba island

The island of Saba, according to the Saba Tourist Bureau, is an ideal secluded location for the diver looking for a peaceful environment. We'll spend our time in the Saba Marine Park exploring the coral reefs, the exotic fish, and warm water. The Saba Marine Park is designed with the scuba enthusiast in mind. We'll be partnered up with Juliana's Hotel and Sea Saba for accommodations and boat diving. Since there are no beaches on Saba, all diving is accomplished as boat dives. Our accomplished Trip Leader, Dan Robinson, will guide your experiences with his intimate knowledge of the abundant marine life on the reefs and the pleasant land-side amenities. The cost to active Fathom Divers Dive Club members is $705. This price is excluse of airfare and marine park fees (which vary upon the number of dives in the marine park); 11 boat dives with Sea Saba; daily breakfast at Tropics Cafe; transportation to/from airport; use of pool, jacuzzi, and Internet; and hotel tax/service charges.

Daily air travel to and from St. Maarten is offered by American, Delta, Continental, US Airways, United, Spirit, and Jet Blue An example route from USAirways is from BWI -St. Maarten, and then by connecting with WinAir to Saba Island. We do encourage you to access Orbitz or Travelocity for comparative travel plans. A deposit of $100 is due by 1 May and mandatory club membership.
